No Peace?

I could feel my face turning red. My blood was pounding in my ears. The financial agent at the dentist’s office had just informed me that the procedure done to my husband’s tooth would cost over $200 MORE (from my pocket) than they originally quoted. After they began working on the broken tooth, they found it had more damage than they first thought. I immediately stressed over it. How was I going to keep my bills current, and absorb this? I just took on a $200+ per month chiropractic project to help me heal from my own health issues. My budget is maxed out and I didn’t see this coming.

As I was driving the 25 mile trek home (Rick was in NO shape to drive after getting his mouth drilled and worked on for 2 hours), I prayed silently about this situation and thanked Him for everything I could think of. I’m so blessed, I really am! I gave this to God and within minutes peace gently flooded over me.  I told myself this isn’t the end of the world, it’s just money. God has always taken care of us. This, too, shall pass and HE will be glorified.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

I don’t know how it happens, but truly, when we give our problems to God and are thankful for what we DO have and what he has DONE, peace does fill our hearts and helps us get through our days.

Is there anything on your mind that you’d like to give to Him? He is listening… and He cares!
