In this day and age of blended families, I’ve written this letter for several children for the holidays. Be sure to personalize this letter by changing the parts that are in red to fit the child. The child then can keep this letter as a memory of your love for them.
Copy the text and paste it in your favorite word processing application. Then change all the places that are red to personalize it for your special child, and print it out for them. Or for added personal touch, you can hand write it on some pretty stationery for them too.

Christmas is such a special time of year. It’s when we honor Jesus’ birth. Although we know He was the best Gift ever given, and we can’t out give God, we give presents to each other as a way of letting them know we care about them. I wanted to take some special time out and tell you that you are one of the best gifts God could have ever given me. I cherish you and am so glad you are my child.
You will always have a special place in my heart because name one thing special over anyone else, first born, last born, sister. I love your list one personality trait or physical trait. Thank you for being who you are. You are a treasure to me, don’t ever forget that.
It has been a pleasure watching you grow into the special ___insert age of child year old you are. I look forward to watching you mature into the amazing adult I know you will be one day. With your talent I know you will go far in life.
If I could give you a gift of wisdom, it would be to keep Jesus close to your heart and always listen to the Holy Spirit. Don’t put anything before God. Keep Him first always.
