1John 4:19 “We love Him because He first loved us.”
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (NKJV)
In this world where ‘everyone is for themselves’ it is hard to grasp God’s loving kindness toward us. When we still didn’t know or care that He loved us, He showed the ultimate act of love with no guarantee that we would acknowledge or come to Him. I know my human nature is not like that. I’m not inclined to do something extravagant toward others with no guarantee of feedback, as the Lord did for us in sending Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.
Even before we were aware of Him, God knew us and loved us so much that His Son took away our sins by dying on the cross in our place. All we need to do is believe and take that gift of forgiveness. Then walk with Him, getting to know Him better and better.
WOW! That a wonderful Heavenly Father we have! He deserves all our worship and praise!
Prayer: I praise You Lord for loving me before I knew You were there for me or cared about me. Thank You for showing me the example of true love for others. Help me to love others in this same way, knowing that they may never love me back, but loving them just the same, as You do! Yes, Lord, help me be an example of Your Love to others, too. Amen.
Jesus said “Don’t be afraid, only believe.” in Mark 5:36.
I am concerned with the rising costs of just the basics. It’s getting hard to keep the bills paid on time. In my prayer time lately, I’ve asked God, ‘How will my children and grand children make it? I felt His still small voice tell me that this is nothing new and I just need to trust in Him.
The still small voice told me something else too - God tells us not to fear, that HE is with us…. but He didn’t say it would be easy. So even though our country’s economic and political view is scary, and we are grieved over the moral decay we see, we can rest assured that God will take care of us during this ‘famine’.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for the words “Fear Not”. Help us all to ‘buckle up’ as we ride through this storm. Help us to be thankful for each day, for each breath and for Your love for us! God please Bless America… again…. Amen.
Without careful nurturing, Christians wither in their walk with Jesus and end up leading miserable lives. We begin to question God and our salvation. I pray that I can help just one person know how valuable and special they are in God’s sight and to help them to have a growing relationship with the Lord, so that they will soar like an eagle as we all were meant to do, spiritually. This blog is designed for encouragement and uplifting. I will not split hairs, denominationally. If Jesus is the foundation, how one builds their house is up to them. If you are happy with this blog, tell others. If you are not, come and talk to me privately, so I can make it right with you. With that said, take my hand, let’s walk the Christian path together……
